Below is a brief sampling of recent work. It includes my current project: Free Everywhere Media, colorful, handmade media to support themes I’d like to guide our current/coming/illusive revolution. There are some teaching images and some commercial projects I’ve done as well in there. The images are mixed up a bit because I don’t have the computer patience to figure out how to order them in wordpress. This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Lets party… [sli

Dear Friends,
Since I have been at Elsewhere Collaborative in Greensboro, NC, I have been working on a film which is excerpted here:
http://vimeo.com/13028751
The password to see the film is: sunset
The film is a four part short made exclusively using timelapse at a rate of one frame per second. The scene you are about to watch is the final scene in the film. Enjoy!

Performed at CounterPULSE, San Francisco, in November of 2009 as a part of the Second Sundays Series, “De te fabula narratur” is an inquiry into the role of the audience member. The performers seated within the audience, performed a choreography that built from mundane, pedestrian movement, into large, esoteric and obviously choreographed movement. Several sets of tickets where issued throughout the twenty minute piece and the audience was directed to new seating assignments. A text addressing the moment was then recited by the co-creators.
A video of the complete work can be seen at: VIDEO
A collaboration with K. Olive McKeon (concept, text) and Kazoo (choreography/direction, prints). Performers include Darya Chenova, Qayyuma Didomenico, Kazoo, K. Olive McKeon, Mara Poliak, David Scott Russell, Cody Strauss, Varvara Zeldovich, and the audience.
Text from the piece written by K. Olive McKeon:
“On November 8th, 2009, a group of people sat down together.
On November 8th, 2009, a group of people came to CounterPULSE in San
Francisco and sat together.
On November 8th, 2009, a Sunday, an audience assembled on Mission Street
to see a work of choreography.
In November on a Sunday, an uncertain number of people sat and looked
at each other in a building on a street in a city.
On November 8th, 2009, an audience thought about itself.
On an autumn afternoon, a group of people came together and wanted to
stay together.
On a Sunday, an audience assembled and tried something, which no one
could exactly identify or articulate what it was.
On a day rife with promise and danger, a group of people realized they
had changed, realized they were changing, that this moment would later
become an event, a crystal in time, a moment with a before and an
after.
At CounterPULSE on Novermber 8, 2009 a group of poets, a group of
mystics, a group of militants, met to discuss what can be done when
nothing can be done.
On November 8, 2009, a group occupied a space and decided they would
never be alone again.
On an evening in the midst of an economic crisis, splendid tournaments
were held.
On November 8, 2009, blood ran down our cheeks, trickling down our legs.
On a Sunday evening, we were, of course, utterly in love.”
